Just between you and me, I wanted to go back to my academic roots and share something more personal. Something that’s a little mysterious to a lot of folks in academia is whether or not it's important for career progress to study abroad. For those of you who have multiple degrees or if you are planning to obtain multiple degrees, you may be wondering whether or not there is an unfair advantage to pursuing each degree from a different university.
Studying abroad can be a game-changer for you and your career; it was for mine. Being an international student broadens your perspectives and life experience while you are forging new relationships with global collaborators.
Today, I’m going to cover my top five transformations that I experienced after studying abroad. I’ll also pass along some words of wisdom if you are just getting started on your career path.
I’m so excited to share my academic experience with you.
