Academic Talk: Should I Do A PhD?

I decided to pursue my PhD in neuroscience halfway through my Master’s degree because it felt like the next logical step. And also because I didn’t have a job lined up, nor did I know what my plans were for my career.

During my PhD, I had a passion for the outcome of my contribution to medical advancements, but I was completely unfulfilled by the nature of the work! In other words, I hated work involved in doing the laboratory research.

In retrospect, I decided to pursue a PhD for reasons that were less than empowering. After many years of learning to adapt to my mistake, I have also become a much better decision-maker.

In this episode, I will share with you key considerations for pursuing a PhD that will save you from years of feeling stuck.
